What you learn: This workshop will focus on the introduction of various bookbinding methods, tools and materials. During six two-hour sessions over six weeks students will learn how to make 4-5 different book structures, such as: hardback pamphlet, accordion, case bound, Coptic and Japanese bound books. No previous experience is necessary.
All the essential bookmaking materials and tools will be provided. In the beginning, students will leave each bookmaking session with a blank book. During the last two-three weeks we will focus on the more advanced case-bound book structure. Students will have a good foundation in bookmaking after completing this workshop.
