Meet Our 2025 Judge:

Brooke Foy, Associate Professor of Art, received an MFA in Sculpture from the University of Memphis, in 2009 and a BFA in Sculpture from the University of Louisiana Monroe, in 2006. Brooke is a multifaceted artist that works in many different media. Works can include but are not limited to sculptures made of mixed media, murals indoors and outdoors on just about anything she can paint on, and digital illustrations for local athletes, friends and animals. Personal sculptures tend to find their home somewhere in the very personal life journey realm while murals take a crisp approach to documenting identity and brand to convey a story of who someone is. Large scale public works are for answering questions in our community. The Herons answered a question of who are we and showed how much our community has to offer. Shirley and Solomon gave light to the life of one of our favorite Elephants and her handler. You never really know what Brooke will be working on or whom she may collaborate with next. The journey is the best part of making art.

PEACH ART EXHIBIT RULES & REGULATIONS:

3. Work must be wire hung with metal hardware, no hot glue or tape. If work is not able to be displayed on an easel or hung on the wall, it may be refused entry.

4. Original & recent work is more likely to win awards. Copies of other artwork, or anything made from kits or commercial molds may not be judged.

5. Work should NOT have been shown in any prior NCLAC Exhibits.

6. Works considered unsuitable for a general viewing audience will not be accepted. THIS INCLUDES WORK THAT SUGGESTS OR DISPLAYS VIOLENCE OR NUDITY.

Meet Our 2024 Juror:

Joshua Chambers

Described as elusive and happily odd, Joshua's work echoes the philosophy of absurdist playwrights and deconstructed sets. Receiving his Master of Fine Arts from Louisiana Tech University in 2009 and his Bachelors of Art from Northeastern State University in Oklahoma, Joshua's work has been published in New American Paintings, Creative Quarterly, and Studio Visit Magazine. Chambers' work can currently be found in Graphite Galleries in New Orleans, Ann Connelly Fine Art in Baton Rouge, and The Agora Borealis in Shreveport Louisiana. His works are in the permanent collections of the Masur Museum of  Art in Louisiana, the Lessedra Gallery in Bulgaria, and numerous private collections. Chambers lives in Bossier Parish with his wife and daughter.
