Good evening, arts supporters! This is our final "Teacher Feature" installment, honoring our final instructor for NCLAC's upcoming Summer Arts Camps. Without further ado, allow me to introduce you to one of our SAC instructors: Adrian Gipson.
Adrian writes that he grew up working for his father Carl L. Gipson Sr. on his construction crew and practicing music with him on weekends. The rhythms, patterns and planning involved in masonry and music influenced Adrian's work and drove him to pursue a degree in the arts. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Louisiana in 2007. Later in graduate school, he writes that he began to experiment with the monotype medium, which then became his main medium of choice. In May of 2012,Adrian received his Master of Fine Arts from Louisiana Tech University. He is currently a gifted and talented art teacher for the Ouachita Parish School System.
We are privileged to have Adrian teaching one of our camps.
