Exhibition Opportunity The Masur Museum of Art Annual Juried Competition showcases contemporary artists throughout the United States working in any medium. They are now accepting entries for it's 49th Annual Juried Exhibition. Liza Simone who is the Founding Director of Phantom Galleries Los Angeles will jury this year's submissions. PGLA is an organization that converts vacant storefronts throughout Los Angeles County into temporary gallery spaces.

The Masur is located on South Grand Street in Monroe and is listed on the National Register of Historical places. It was originally built as a private residence in 1929 and was donated to the city in the 60's on the condition that it would be used as a fine art museum. The museum generally tends to show more established artists due to this prestigious history. However, Simone has worked with a variety of people in a wide range of ages such as artist Bill Viola to undergraduate students. Due to her background and LA lifestyle NCLAC feels this will be an exciting opportunity for all artists and is looking forward to such a diverse selection.

The deadline for entries is March 18. Entries can be submitted via postal mail or e-mail. There is a fee of $10 per entry with a minimum of 2 entries and a maximum of 5 entries. Full detailed information regarding the competition can be seen on the museum's website.
