Art Talk Monday: Classics Recovered this Saturday!

This week's Art Talk is written by John Emory, Jr., Board President of the Dixie Center for the Arts. Well hang on to your hat, here comes Travis Woods and The Classics Recovered Band from the great state of Texas to the Dixie Theater on January 11th  at 7pm. For admittance, you need a DCA season ticket or $20. However, Veterans and spouses may attend for $10, and students for $5.

You may have heard them entertain the crowd at this year’s Peach Festival in June. According to the Fox network program “King of the Road Show”, this band is one of the hottest bands in Southeast Texas today having played venues from Austin, Texas, to the ImageMississippi River.

This six-piece band is still on fire after opening to a sold out crowd for  Grand Ole Opry star Steve Wariner at the Cattle Barons Ball in Beaumont, Texas.   They raised a record $256,000.00 for the American Cancer Society.

In the last four years, the Classics Recovered Band has helped raise over one million dollars at different charity events. They are truly proud of this achievement.

A few of the other greats they have had the honor of opening for are Charlie Daniels, Ronnie Milsap, John Anderson, Joe Nichols, Craig Morgan, Daryl Worley, Daryl Singletary and Tracy Byrd.

Come on down to the Dixie January 11th for some home-cooked, Southern-style Country and Classic Rock ‘n Roll by the Classics Recovered Band.  Call the Box Office at (318)255-1450 for tickets!
