Staff

NCLAC maintains an Executive Director and other support staff when we can to act as administrators in the office and aid the Board with development, coordination, administration, documentation, and the implementation of NCLAC’s goals. Each of our current staff work part-time hours for an hourly rate.

Jessica received her BFA in Studio Art from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. She spent time teaching art in Richland Parishfollowed by six years as the creator of slaughterhead.com with her artist husband, Joey Slaughter. She managed all aspects of the business from bookkeeping to product creation.  In addition to visual art, her background includes music and backstage theatre. She has been NCLAC’s Executive Director since July 2012. She served as NCLAC’s Educational Coordinator prior to the ED position.

Originally from Minden, Cara Beth attended Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas and worked in Little Rock for several years before leaving to fulfill her dream of owning her own photography business. Cara Beth and her husband Brent now live in Ruston where they enjoy supporting the local arts scene and raising their menagerie of rescue animals.

Toni Pederson holds a B.A. in Fine Art from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and a Teaching Certification in Art K-12 from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. She has worked as an art educator, studio director, and workshop facilitator, as well as maintaining her own working studio. Her works are found in several museums and universities, as well as multiple private collections. Her other interests include folk music and equestrian sports.
