NCLAC recruits candidates for paid internships in order to reach out and train more young people to work in the field of art through marketing, program development, and fundraising. Generally applications are accepted each March and August.
Internship applications are taken on a quarterly basis. Interns typically work 5-8 hours/week, depending on their school schedule. Interns must be going into the junior year of college or higher to apply. Post-graduate interns are also welcome to apply. All Interns are paid at the end of their Internships.
Internship duties may include:
- Graphic/Web Design
- Gallery Management
- Event Coordinating
- Promotional Marketing
- Arts Administration
- Educational Programming
- Grant Writing/Research
THE FOLLOWING INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES MAY BE AVAILABLE Spring/Summer/Fall 2017
- Education Outreach: working in the community, including the Ruston Farmers Market, Downtown Howl o’Ween, etc.
- Arts Administration: assisting the Executive Director with mailing, calls, database management, public relations
- Graphic Design: creating campaigns for ARToberfest and Holiday Arts Tour
- Promotion and Marketing: assisting with p&r for NCLAC events
