ARToberfest 2017 is set for Friday, October 13th at The Norton Building.
Tickets are on sale now!
This year’s ARToberfest is going to be a blast! Our office is abuzz with all the preparations. Committee members Amanda McCoy (Chair), Nicole Duet, Elaine Thompson, Monique Gourd, and Juliana Kemege have been meeting with NCLAC staff to get all the fine details worked out. This is our eighth year for ARToberfest, and with each year better than the last, this should be the best year yet!
ARToberfest, sponsored by Durrett Law and Title, is NCLAC’s beer-tasting fundraiser that will be held at the Norton Building in downtown Ruston on Friday, October 13. Early Bird tickets, of which there are a limited quantity, will give guests a first taste of the brews available, as well as this year’s commemorative pint glass from Fine Line Supply. General Admission tickets will also offer tastes of all the beers, and a commemorative tasting glass from Utility Brewing. Everyone will have access to snack foods from Super One, as well as an assortment of delicious food trucks: Wild Thang Meats, Ono’s Hawaiian, Beau Jack’s, and Raus Bakhaus.
Marsala Beverage provides LOTS of commercial beers for guests to sample, and area home brewers and regional breweries will be offering samples as well. Home brewers will be competing for bragging rights with the Devine Home Brewer awards, sponsored by Devine Wines and Spirits. Keg Package & Cork Room will provide sound for us, and this year’s music line up is sure to please: Bethany Raybourn, Hank Dammit, The Untouchables, and Heaven & HotRods.
A big team of volunteers make the night possible, and this year we have special treats lined up for them to thank them for their hard work. Rosemary’s Kitchen will provide their food for the night, and Pet Star will provide a super special “NCLAC purple” volunteer tshirt. If you’d like to volunteer for this event, contact our office – we need many hands!
Guests will have the opportunity to buy a shirt as well, through an online pre-order. These super soft gray shirts are available at nclac.org, where you can also buy your ARToberfest ticket. Early Bird tickets (entry at 5pm) are $45, General Admission (entry at 6:30) is $30. Shirts are $22. Tickets can be purchased at nclac.org/artoberfest beginning September 1, or in person at Fine Line Supply in downtown Ruston.
Pint glasses and raffles will be available during the event, and The Selfie Stop will be on site with their super fun photo booth. The Fashion is also opening up the beautiful Carriage Way where ARToberfest guests can enjoy extra seating and lawn games.
This is going to be an amazing night, and we hope you’ll be part of it! ARToberfest is a general fundraiser for NCLAC, providing funds for our programs such as the Southern Circuit Tour of Independent Filmmakers. Tickets are on sale September 1. Call our office with any questions at (318)255-1450.
